| Filigree is defined as "ornamental openwork, in metal, of delicate or intricate design." I have chosen this word as a way to describe the candleholders, nightlights and metalwork that I create using ordinary "tin" cans as the starting point.
There is a long history of filigree as an architectural enhancement; as designs for lamps and chandeliers and, most often, to add to the beauty and delicacy of fine jewelry. All of these applications of filigree have one thing in common - they provide enjoyment for the eyes and rest for the soul. By taking this technique one step more, I have created designs that not only are beautiful to look at directly, but also project designs in candle light that are subtle and warm, creating a soothing ambiance for your home.
Each design is handcrafted; no two are identical; each piece is signed by the artist. Look for her JT signature.
